Our celebs are getting their hair cut shorter than ever before and there is no going back. According to a trend report, getting a shorter hair cut is liberating and instills a boost of confidence for the wearer.

Mid-length bobs, which are longer than the short bob and slightly shorter than the long bob, is the way to go if you are planning to chop off your lengths.

Get your hair stylist to cut your hair straight without any layers with the front little longer than the back. The best thing about this style is that you can wear it sleek and parted in the middle like Kourtney or just flip it into a side part. This style works best on girls with sleek, straight hair.

CHOPPY TEXTURED LOB

If your hair is naturally wavy, then  going Deepika Padukone way is a good bet. Play up your hair’s natural movement and celebrate your waves by going for a textured long bob with choppy layers that fall at different lengths with the longest layer hitting just about your collarbone.

According to Goa-based hair stylist Bina Punjani, this is one of the easiest styles to carry and is fuss-free. You can wear it any way you like – simply wash your hair and scrunch in some shine boosting serum and let it air dry. Finger comb and tousle it for a beach hair look.

RACHEL GREEN’S LONG Layers

Sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S’ Rachel Green’s layered style is seeing a revival this season. Lots and lots of blow dried layers, soft and face framing flowing down the back is hair treat this year. According to a London-based celebrity hairstylist, “This style hangs beautifully wavy or straight, forward or back, edgy or polished, half-up or down.” It’s about being effortless and free form.

It’s a style that’s ideal for almost all hair types and texture. Ask your stylist to add long layers at the back and few face framing layers in the front and then style it as you feel like. This is ideal for long-haired babes who want to refresh their look without chopping it all off.

Bangs

Bangs are back with a bang! While they did not really go out of style, but there’s a resurgence of the style what with popular celebs of the day Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Lily Collins sporting different versions of the same style.

You can opt for long layered bangs like Lily Collins. It is wispy, face framing and is long enough to cover the brows. Great look to try, if you have straight, fine textured hair. If, however, your hair is thick and wavy like Priyanka’s then try the chunkier version of bangs. She has opted for shorter bangs (up till her brows) along with long layers in the front and back. She gave an extra twist to her style by flipping her bangs away from the face – a bit of 80’s.

Bixie

Really cropped, short hair is popular right now. The Bixie – a hair style inspired by blending the short bob and really cropped pixie. It looks great on girls with wavy to straight hair.

The Bixie is neither too cropped like a pixie nor too boxy or chunky like a bob. The latest edition of Bixie is bit more shaggy with layers that add movement and dimension to your hair.

We loved the Kirsten Stewart wore her bixie, with a strand of long hair framing her face in the front, while rest of the hair is kept back and texturized. Here again the focus is on playing up your hair’s natural texture.
